What Are You Doing for Your Well-Being?

Namaste!

Hi friend, I’ve been thinking of you and sending you peace. I sure miss playing the crystal singing bowls and providing restorative yoga for you, among all the other sessions I have offered in the past. All sessions that assist us in our well-being.

My thanks to those who took the challenge and agreed to be one of my case studies as I bring my aromatherapist studies to the finale. I look forward to serving you in this way in the near future.

What have you been doing lately for your well-being?

I’ve had some blessings come my way during this time. I have been asked to provide an online weekly meditation training for a corporate office in Chicago. It finally starts next week and I look forward to sharing meditation with up to 100 people each week!

I also was approached in providing recorded meditations for a new meditation app that will be released late May. I’m thrilled to do so! They will be all new created meditations just for this app.

I received a communication from my former yoga instructor to return as a mentor for online students. I mentored the Yoga Nidra program previously, yet now she wants me to assist other classes too.

It’s all exciting, yet what is most inspiring for me is the more time I have dedicated to my personal inner spiritual work. This is for my well-being! I find my life is calmer when I do. I take at least 1 1/2- 2 hours every morning to luxuriate in the practices I love: meditation, study of the Yoga Sutras, a specific Chakra to work on for the week, journaling, more meditation and ending with yoga. I love my routine and feel blessed that I can do longer sessions now because of the pandemic.

Of course, I love watching movies, crocheting (I made a mask!), reading science fiction and other genres, working on my online courses, and still working with some clients who have elected to work online with me, as posting daily meditations and the three Peace Meditation Circles throughout the week. See below for the video from Sunday’s Guided Visualization that included affirmations.

So, what are you doing for your well-being?

I’d love to hear about it in our Meditate Madison Facebook Group. Join me there and share your tips and you may inspire others or you may find inspiration from what someone else shares. Maybe it’s a new book you are reading or a Netflix movie. I’ve actually been thinking about doing a watch party online for the Open Minds Film & Discussion Group that never did get off the ground due to the Coronavirus. If you are interested, in this possibility, send me an email. I’ve been looking at platforms to do this. I have an account with Gaia, home of mind, body & spirit films and documentaries.

When we are in balance, it is a state of optimal well-being, vitality, and wholeness. When our Mind, Body, and Spirit are aligned we are at our most optimal state of existence and our life energy, is free flowing. When we are in a state of balance, this is when we are the healthiest and can function at our best.

We can fall in and out of balance when we are faced with persistent stressors  (HelloCOVID-19!) or an unexpected illness, or not being in tune with our spiritual side. We may feel a lack of compassion or of love for self and others. We may feel stressed or anxious.

I’d like to help you awaken to the knowledge that YOU can begin again. My mission has been to empower and encourage folks in healing themselves through mind, body & spirit practices.

Each moment is a chance to evolve in your discovery of A NEW YOU! It doesn’t matter where you are now, the important aspect is that you have a little willingness and a dash of dedication.

And lastly, while my Live Events are temporarily paused, my expenses as a small business are not. As you know, it is just me that is Meditate Madison. Any purchase of a gift card or private session during this time helps to keep income flowing to me and the studio. This means I can continue to serve people in our community. Thank you!

In Peace,
Deb
