The True Power to Transform

The following is a loose and extended transcript of the video from June 7, 2023

Last night, as my husband and I settled in to watch “Shazam,” I couldn’t help but draw parallels between the transformative journey of the film’s protagonist, Billy Batson, and our JUNE THEME – CALLING MY POWER BACK TO ME– journey in the 8-Week Reclaim Inner Power Coaching Program. The themes of self-discovery, authenticity, and personal growth resonated deeply with our program’s mission.

Similar to the storyline in “Shazam,” we come to understand that the true power to transform, to metamorphose into the most authentic version of ourselves, isn’t simply about uttering magical phrases or possessing mystical artifacts from an external source. Instead, this power originates from within our deepest selves. It emerges from a heart that is pure and untainted, a heart that cultivates and cherishes authenticity, self-love, and personal growth. This pure heart is the wellspring of our inner strength and resilience, and it holds the key to unleashing our true potential, providing us with the courage and wisdom to navigate life’s many challenges. It is this heart, and the power it harbors, that our Reclaim Inner Power program seeks to help you discover and nurture.

The true power to become the best me doesn’t come from magic words or special things. It’s not from the outside, but from the inside. This power comes from a pure heart that loves truth, self-love, and growth. This pure heart is like a strong core inside me. It has the key to let out my true potential. It gives me courage and wisdom to face challenges. It’s this heart, and its power, that lets me reclaim my inner power.

Thinking back, I remember working with a mentor years ago. He said that I did many good things, but my heart needed healing. So, I began to treat myself with more love and kindness. That’s what made a big change. It helped my heart to become pure. I still make mistakes, but I no longer feel as unsure or as full of negative thoughts as before.

Claiming our power is about being true to ourselves. This journey to personal power is about being real, not pretending to be someone else. This is how I reclaim my power, and I’m proud to be on this journey.

Let’s stop pretending, without making excuses, without trying to be who people think we should be. In my case, there are ideas about how a wellness teacher or yoga teacher should look and act. But these are just stereotypes. They’re not about who we truly are. That’s what we’re focusing on this month. How can we peel back the layers and find our true selves? How can we remove the blocks and obstacles that stop us from being us?

One way to do this is through self-reflection and setting powerful intentions. This is my passion. I help women who are stressed and doubting themselves. I offer personalized coaching and classes in mindfulness, meditation, sound healing, deep restorative practices, and spiritual guidance. My clients are excited about their transformation. They are finding peace and learning to appreciate themselves.

We dive deep into the heart, allowing it to shine after guided meditation. We let go of our beliefs about who we should be, about what we should do. We stop “shoulding” on ourselves. Instead, we accept who we are. We own our power. You might think, “I can’t accept my power.” But you can, and I’m here to guide you..

We’ve all got our own burdens, be it health issues or mental struggles. But we need to embrace what’s within us: our basic goodness, our inner spark. I’ve experienced this journey firsthand, through decades of spiritual and meditative work, sometimes sporadic, sometimes consistent.

Throughout my journey, I’ve had times when I gave my power away, whether it was in the form of energy in a conversation or pushing myself too hard in my daily activities. But my diagnosis of fibromyalgia years ago forced me to stop and take notice. Now, I’m mindful about conserving my energy.

We sometimes agree to things when we should be saying no. Learning to cultivate personal power means learning to set boundaries. It’s about recognizing our inner strength, and I’m here to tell you, we all have that. You can reclaim your inner power, and one way to do that is through my mindfulness coaching program.

My approach is tailored and involves check-ins, personal meetings, guided meditations, affirmations, and more. I have a new program titled “Find Your Inner Power,” which is designed to help you transform your life. We will tackle different aspects of personal power from self-reflection and authenticity to resilience.

In this eight-week program, you will learn to identify your obstacles and limiting beliefs, embrace self-love, set boundaries, and find power in your truth. We will also work on cultivating resilience. This program will equip you with tools and insights to harness your inner strength with renewed purpose and confidence.

I’ve been where you are, and I’m glad that I took the time to discover who I am. I’m here to help you do the same. This journey is not just about reclaiming your power but also about finding your purpose and standing in your truth. It’s a journey that will transform your life and your relationships, making you more loving, compassionate, and grounded.

We all have our own stories and trials. Like Shazam, I too had moments where I misused my power. But the turning point for him, and for many of us, is when we realize the true meaning of power – our connections, our community, our relationships. Shazam found his power in the unity of his makeshift family. Just like him, when we align with our truths and embrace our power, we realize we are part of everything around us.

Let’s pause for a moment. Breathe with me, deeply. Inhale… exhale… and again. Third breath, inhale and feel yourself anchored, perhaps your feet are on the floor, grounding you, connecting you with the energy of the earth.

This power sits in your solar plexus, and in this moment you can tell yourself, “I am strong. I am powerful.” Breathe out, and repeat these affirmations. Say them as many times as you need until they start to drown out the negative thoughts you’ve held onto because of past hardships.

These voices inside your head have been telling you you’re not enough. But they’re wrong. You are ready. You are capable. You are strong. This is your time. It’s time for you to rise above and view yourself with a lens of love.

So thank you for sharing this moment with me. For taking this step on your journey. I wish you peace, strength, and self-love.
